Note: If you're trying to install Microsoft 365 that you got through your work or school and you already signed in with your work or school account, don't follow these instructions. The steps below differ if your Office product is part of an Office for home or Office for business plan, so you need to select the correct tab for your product. You need to be connected to the internet to download this installer file, but once that's done, you can then install Office offline on a PC at your convenience. If the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant didn't help, follow the steps below that are specific to your plan.

#INSTALL SPICEWORKS OFFLINE UPDATE#
I'll update this thread as soon as I know more. I guess a dirty workaround would be to set the CRL validity of the old CA to something like 10 years, publish it one last time and hope you're working at a different company at that time. I'll update the LDAPS certificate use one from the new CA and confirm if this could be the issue. Now I always thought that Windows Hello was a purely offline device-based method but that's probably because there's a difference between Windows Hello and Windows Hello for Business (?). At first I didn't factor in that a published CRL isn't valid indefinitely but when a user tries to log in with a Windows Hello Pin and Windows can't find a valid CRL for the LDAPS certificate, it would make sense that it fails. For some reason, I've only looked at the Windows client and the CA itself for this issue.īut I think that this issue is caused by the certificate for AD's LDAPS. why does this issue affect a brand new laptop that never requested a certificate from the old CA. That makes sense since the CA is offline.ĭoes anyone know how we can associate the Windows Hello login with the new CA so we can turn the old one off? This MS Answers thread points out that this is related to outdated CRLs: But a few days after disabling the service, logins with Windows Hello fail with error code 0xC00000BB.

We disabled all certificate templates on the old CA and created new templates on the new CA. The new CA is designed as a two tier CA with an offline root CA. The old one was a single tier CA that was running on a domain controller. We've configured a new certificate authority back in December. I've been dealing with an issue related to Windows Hello and the Active Directory Certificate Services for a while now and I'm kind of at a loss at the moment.
